Late one evening in August, I arrived at our home on Lake Greeson to discover our water heater had corroded and was pouring water from the top floor. There was already about an inch of water on the lower floor. It was a mess. I called our insurance company, which in turn called Metro. A crew was dispatched immediately despite it being almost a two-hour drive from North Little Rock. The crew arrived at 2 a.m. and went straight to work, getting furniture on blocks, pumping out the water and stabilizing the situation. Within three hours, they had things under control. After the insurance adjusters came to asses the damage, Metro coordinated the restoration effort from floor to ceiling. Not only was the work done with precision and professionalism, every employee of Metro was helpful, courteous and eager to do the job correctly. I hope I never have another problem like this. This letter is to convey the exceptional and professional response and care the Hope Public Schools received after our April 17, 2005 disastrous fire at Hope High School. There really are no words to express as to how quickly and thoroughly METRO performed their task and without comparison with any company met the needs of the staff, student body, and community of Hope, AR. We all hope this was our first and last catastrophic occurrence of this magnitude, but we are pleased to know there is a company like METRO that will meet our needs and provide the assistance that we need. Don, I had a major lightning strike at my home on March 5th, 2011. After calling 911, I immediately called the Metro number which I remembered. From the very first response everything has been great. The strike was at 3:35AM and by 4:00AM Richard Elliott had called me back and had a crew on the way. They arrived by 4:30 AM and even with it still storming horrible they had the house secure and boarded up by 5:30AM. Even after working in the restoration field for many years I didn’t realize how freaked out you become when the front of your house is blown off. Through the next month everyone worked beautifully with each other and with us. Shawn Meeks had roofers, framers, glass companies, siding companies on site within 2 days for quotes. Richard Elliott made contact with my insurance adjuster within 24 hours. I had a preliminary scope within 48 hours. The work was all done in a very professional and timely manner. I had to call Michelle many times for one reason or another and she was great every single time. When I would call any of the team, I would get a call back within 30 minutes. Daniel Rodriguez that came and picked up the curtains and toys and other glass damaged items was so sweet and helpful. He also put up a tarp on the inside because cold air was still seeping in. Payton had everything cleaned, marked, boxed and ready when I came to pay the bill. Ken even came and helped get the old appliances out and the new ones installed. What a great team you have put together at Metro. Richard stayed in contact with me constantly to make sure everyone was on the job and doing great. Shawn is amazing; I mean it he really is. I wish I could hire them all away from you and put them with my 120 employees to serve the taxpayers of Pulaski County! Please thank them all again for me. My first disaster experience as a property manager came when a building I was managing caught fire. I asked a couple of colleagues who to call to help with the mess and they all said, 'Call Metro'. They were great to work with and made my job so much easier. A couple of years later a City water main burst (about 1:00 in the morning) and flooded the basement with over two feet of water in the parking garage. Metro was there within the hour and spent the next 24 hour spumping water out. They didn't leave until all the water was gone and the basement was dry. Within two days, we were able to open the basement garage back up for our tenant's use. The most memorable experience . . . a water coil broke on the 18th floor of my building at about midnight. I immediately called Metro's emergency number. When I arrived, the water was pouring out of the 2nd floor windows onto an awning below and into the street. Metro was already there with management personnel and two crews working on the mess. That is the definition of customer service.
